SHOW UP, FORGET THE REST!
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! This week, Project MEND received an incredible sponsorship from a generous donor who believes in our mission to empower mothers of children facing hunger in underserved communities, supporting us with half a million naira.
I would also like to point out that our donor didn’t even like our post or comment on it. He just came to my DM to ask about the project and we received an alert after that! That post was not our best post, just one of those days we showed up regardless of how perfect our content was (doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put in effort), this is just to let you know that the post that got us this sponsor had just two comments. This newsletter is also a small note to myself telling Agnes: It’s not about the likes, comments, and shares, what matters is showing up and letting the rest take care of themselves!
This remarkable moment is a powerful reminder of the importance of sharing our work and vision with the world. By actively promoting our initiatives on social media, we open doors to potential supporters and collaborators, regardless of geographical boundaries (our donor is currently in the United States)
Fellow educators, this success story underscores the need to be proactive in showcasing our incredible work. By leveraging social media platforms and digital networks, we expand our reach beyond physical boundaries and connect with individuals who share our passion for making a difference.
As we celebrate this milestone, let us continue to be intentional about unlocking the full potential within ourselves and empowering those around us. Together, we can create lasting change and transform lives in our communities.
Warm regards,
Agnes Onyekwere
